Special family occasions should be filled with joy, laughter, and gratefulness — especially Mother's Day.

But in your blended family dynamics, that might not be what you actually experience.  The relational tension and disconnection that can sometimes be present don't just melt away because it happens to be a day designated to honor Mom or celebrate other occasions as a family.

Yet, moms and step-moms in blended families still have the opportunity to hold onto their joy.  It is possible to accept the positives that do exist and experience genuine contentment in your blended dynamics.

In this episode, Kim is going to share some recent disappointments she faced as a mom and how she experienced joy anyway — without just "stuffing" her feelings.

Kim's story will give you the encouragement and strategies you'll need to face any disappointments that might emerge on your upcoming Mother's Day — or any special occasion.

You'll Discover:

  • How to manage disappointment and mixed emotions when things don't go as expected

  • Practical ways to experience joy and contentment in the midst of an imperfection family occasion such as Mother's Day
